Football tip UEFA has awarded an official loss to Kosovo`s Drita in the Champions League
The European Football Association (UEFA) has awarded the official loss of the Kosovo club Drita (Gnjilane) in the final from football partners match of the preliminary round of the Champions League for the 2020/2021 season. The reason is a positive test for coronavirus of their competitor, established just before the start of the match with Linfield (Northern Ireland). One of Drita`s players took the positive test on August 7th and was sent to quarantined isolation along with the other players he was in contact with. The day before the match, a new series of tests was conducted, and another player of the Kosovo team was tested positive for COVID-19. According to UEFA rules, the headquarters, together with the Swiss health authorities, decided to send the entire Drita team in isolation. The UEFA Appeals Commission then convened and decided to award a 3-0 official victory to the Irish team. Otherwise, according to the program, the match was to be played on August 11 in Nyon. As there is no time to wait for the quarantine to expire, Linfield will officially go to the next round and will play as a guest of Legia (Warsaw).Football tip - more details and information: Football tip
