Football tips Antonio Conte: In England, only the coach communicates with the press - I have never seen anyone from the medical staff or management come here, as in Italy
Antonio Conte believes that not only the coach should communicate with the press.I think it`s a bad habit in England that only the coach can talk [to the press]. I have never seen the medical staff come here and explain [to reporters] that a particular player is having difficulty recovering. I have never seen a sporting director explain the club`s strategy and vision.
In Italy, before each game, a representative of the club communicates with the media, answers many questions. For us, it could be better, because otherwise we substitute our face every time.
I mean, if only the coach is talking, sometimes there can be misunderstandings. It would be nice if the representative of the club analyzed by football partners spoke to the media. Maybe not every week, but every 15 days or once a month.
It would be easier for you [journalists] to understand and [you wouldn`t have to see] the same face. Trust me, it`s hard. Whatever you are trying to say is either criticism, or something wrong, or something negative. This is not true, - said the head coach of Tottenham.
