Lionel Messi has become L`Equipe`s Sportsman of the Year 2022.


The 35-year-old forward became the world champion as part of the Argentina national team, and was also recognized as the best player of the tournament in Qatar.


Messi`s PSG partner Kylian Mbappe took second place in the voting. In third place is tennis player Rafael Nadal. Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema is in sixth place.

First place is awarded 6 points, second - 4, third - 3, fourth - 2 and fifth - 1.
