Football tip Good shot, good game. Corey Higgins talks about message from Michael Jordan during 2021 Final Four

Barcelona shooting guard Corey Higgins spoke about the message he received from his godfather Michael Jordan after his game-winning shot in the 2021 EuroLeague semifinals against Milan.


He wrote to me: Good shot, good game. That`s how simple it was. Nothing unusual. In my opinion, he did not write immediately after the match. Maybe in a few days. I don`t remember.


I only received feedback from my father. He was the main person in my basketball life. Sure, he interacted with Michael Jordan, but it was more of a playful relationship than constructive criticism.


Many people compared my shot to Jordan`s shot in the 1998 NBA Finals. But they are absolutely not alike. My shot was on a fast break. But everyone likes to remember that he`s my godfather, so that`s expected, " Higgins said.


Corey Higgins` father, Rod Higgins, is a former Chicago player and president of basketball operations for Charlotte.
