Ryan Babel announced his retirement from playing. The 37-year-old Dutchman wrote on Instagram: If it wasn`t obvious until now, then here it is: thanks to football. A farewell film will be released soon.
The ex-midfielder played for clubs forecast by archive of football picks such as Ajax, Liverpool, Hoffenheim, Kasimpasa, Al Ain, Deportivo, Besiktas, Fulham, Galatasaray and Eyupspor.
With Ajax, Babel won the Dutch championship, Cup and Super Cup twice each, and with Besiktas he became the champion of Turkey. With the Netherlands U21 team he won the European Championships in 2007.
In addition, the midfielder was recognized as the best young player of Ajax (in 2007) and Liverpool (in 2008).
